Nature & Adventure

Beyond the gardens of Villa Cetinale, the landscape opens into quiet country roads, woodland paths, gently rolling hills and wild swimming spots, offering an easy way to explore the surrounding countryside on foot, by bike or on horseback

Nature & Adventure

Walking routes begin directly from the estate, leading through forests, farmland and open countryside. Bicycles can be hired locally, with both road bikes and electric mountain bikes available for exploring nearby villages, vineyards and quiet back roads.

Horse riding is another rewarding way to experience the landscape, particularly in the quieter hills and woodland surrounding the estate. Nearby stables offer lessons and guided rides for all abilities, from gentle hacks for beginners to longer routes for more experienced riders. For younger guests, pony rides can also be arranged within the grounds of the estate, offering an easy and memorable introduction to riding.

Nature & Adventure

During the warmer months, the River Merse near Brenna is a favourite local spot for wild swimming, with clear water and natural pools shaded by trees. For a day by the sea, the Tuscan coast is also within reach, offering long sandy beaches, seafood restaurants and the protected landscapes of the Maremma.

Families may also enjoy one of the nearby waterparks, both easily reached from the villa and well suited to a relaxed afternoon out.

For walking routes, bike hire, riding lessons, guides or transport, the house manager will be happy to assist.
