Seasonal Tuscany

The Tuscan countryside changes noticeably with the seasons, bringing different produce, traditions and experiences throughout the year. Spring brings wildflowers and fresh market ingredients while autumn is known for truffles, porcini mushrooms, grape harvests and newly pressed olive oil.

Seasonal Tuscany

Autumn is particularly associated with truffle hunting, with local guides and trained dogs leading searches through woodland and farmland. Many excursions end with a tasting or lunch featuring seasonal dishes prepared with freshly found truffles.

The olive harvest, typically between October and November, offers another opportunity to experience local traditions. Visitors can learn about the production process, visit olive mills and sample freshly pressed oils at nearby estates and producers.

Seasonal Tuscany

During the same season, porcini mushrooms appear on menus across the region, while village festivals celebrate chestnuts, wine and local produce. In spring and summer, markets, farms and trattorias reflect the changing rhythm of the land in a different way.

For seasonal recommendations, local events and private excursions, the house manager will be happy to assist.
